Hyderabad, May 10 -- The Telangana government has urged the Centre to include a dedicated provision for BC caste data collection in the census process, stating that such enumeration would help in formulating welfare measures and ensuring social justice for backward communities.
A memorandum in this regard was submitted to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday before he departed for Gujarat after concluding his Hyderabad tour.
