Hyderabad, March 20 -- Telangana Revenue, Housing, and Information & Public Relations Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Friday directed officials to prepare proposals for establishing a State Institute of Disaster Management (SIDM) of international standards.
Chairing a review meeting on disaster management at the Secretariat, Ponguleti said a high-level committee comprising officials from relevant departments should be constituted to formulate an action plan.
He said the proposal would be discussed with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy before taking a final decision.
