Hyderabad, Jan. 24 -- The Telangana government is investigating irregularities in land registrations through forensic audits, starting with Siddipet and Sircilla districts, and plans to extend the audits to all 31 districts in the state.

Loopholes in the Dharani portal led to irregular land registrations, resulting in criminal cases against 48 individuals across 35 mandals in 9 districts.

A high-level committee has submitted a preliminary report highlighting these irregularities.
