Hyderabad, Feb. 13 -- In a major relief to Panchayat Secretaries, the Telangana government has approved the appointment of 223 Panchayat Secretaries who had lost their local status following the issuance of G.O. No. 317 by the previous government and were working in remote areas on inter-district deputation for the past two years.
Orders to this effect were issued by Principal Secretary, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, N. Sridhar. The decision follows the government's move to address the hardships faced by employees affected by G.O. 317.
