Hyderabad, Oct. 5 -- Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar will leave for Delhi this evening to hold consultations with senior lawyers on the state government's decision to provide 42 per cent reservation for Backward Classes in local body elections.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has reiterated his government's commitment to conduct the long-delayed local body elections by implementing 42 per cent BC quota. A Government Order (GO 9) has already been issued, and the Election Commission has announced the poll schedule.
