Hyderabad, Feb. 5 -- Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Telangana C. Sudharsan Reddy on Thursday urged all political parties to appoint at least one Booth Level Agent (BLA) for every polling station in the state ahead of the forthcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
Addressing a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties at the CEO's office, Sudharsan Reddy stressed that strong booth-level coordination would be crucial for the success of the SIR.
He said BLAs should preferably be local residents of the polling station area and work in close coordination with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to ensure accuracy and transparency in the revision process.
