Hyderabad, Nov. 4 -- Former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, who was recently inducted into Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy's cabinet, was allocated the Minorities Welfare and Public Enterprises portfolios here on Tuesday.
Consequent to the induction of Azharuddin into the council of ministers on October 31, 2025, the Governor allocated the portfolios effective today, according to an order issued by Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao.
The Public enterprises portfolio was earlier held by the Chief Minister and the Minorities Welfare portfolio was previously with Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar.
Azhar was sworn in as the first minister from the Minority Community in Revath Reddy's cabinet on October 31.
