Hyderabad, Jan. 13 -- Escalating pressure on the Congress-led Telangana government, state BJP President Ramachandra Rao on Tuesday demanded that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy convene an 'all-party meeting' to discuss the proposed reorganisation of districts, calling the government's move to appoint a judicial commission "unnecessary and avoidable."Addressing mediapersons here, Rao said the government should seek political consensus and public opinion before undertaking any administrative overhaul.
"Instead of a judicial commission, the government should hold an all-party meeting and conduct public hearings at district headquarters with collectors," he said.
