Hyderabad, April 14 -- BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday criticised the Congress party, alleging it had historically undermined Dr BR Ambedkar and was now misleading people on key issues like delimitation and women's reservation.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office on Ambedkar's birth anniversary, he said Ambedkar was not only the architect of the Constitution but also a champion of social justice and empowerment of weaker sections.
Targeting Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Rao said the party should reflect on its past treatment of Ambedkar, alleging that Congress had opposed and politically sidelined him both before and after Independence.
