Hyderabad, Sept. 8 -- Telangana BJP president N Ramchandra Rao today came down heavily on the Congress government, accusing it of misleading the people over BC reservations and blaming the BJP for its own failures.

Addressing a press conference at the party state office in Nampally, he said the Congress has neither sincerity nor commitment to implement 42 per cent reservations for the Backward Classes.

Rao pointed out that as per law, the 2018 Panchayat Raj Act (Section 285) had to be amended to provide 42 per cent BC reservations in local body elections.
