Hyderabad, Dec. 18 -- Telangana Social Welfare, SC, ST, Persons with Disabilities and Senior Citizens Welfare Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar on Thursday said the State government's primary objective was to ensure that persons with disabilities lead independent and dignified lives, and are not confined to welfare benefits alone.
Speaking as the chief guest at an assistive technology programme for persons with disabilities held at the Alien Innovations office in Hyderabad, the Minister said persons with disabilities should be seen as capable citizens who can stand on their own feet when given the right opportunities.
