Hyderabad, Sept. 19 -- Telangana Women's Congress President Sunita Rao today launched a sharp attack on BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) and Jagruthi President K Kavitha, accusing them of disrespecting women and misusing the Bathukamma festival for political gain.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here, Sunita Rao alleged that KTR "has a history of sending away his own sister" and questioned his moral standing to speak about children and women's issues.
"Before releasing songs on Bathukamma, the Kalvakuntla family should first learn to respect girls," she said.
