Nizamabad (Telangana), Jan. 2 -- In a significant boost to emergency healthcare on National Highway 44 (NH-44), the country's longest highway, the SaveLIFE Foundation, supported by Mercedes-Benz India Private Limited (MBIL), has upgraded the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Dichpally with essential trauma care resources.

The initiative, part of the Zero Fatality Corridor Programme, aims to reduce fatalities on high-risk highways by improving trauma care, engaging communities, and using crash data to guide interventions, the foundation said in a release here on Friday.

NH-44, a major arterial highway, has seen 742 road crashes between January 2023 and October 2025, including 328 fatal crashes that claimed 363 lives.
