Patna, May 1 -- National executive president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, Tejaswi Yadav, on Friday launched a sharp attack on the ruling NDA government, suggesting that BJP leaders should consider renaming International Workers' Day as "Bihar Samarpit Diwas" or even rename Bihar as a "Shramik Pradesh".
Extending greetings on International Workers' Day, Yadav said that the lack of meaningful discussion on the uplift and welfare of workers who form the backbone of the country's development is deeply concerning. He emphasised that without improving the conditions of labourers, their families and rural economies, talk of a "developed India" remains dishonest.
