Patna, Aug. 2 -- Following the release of a revised draft electoral roll that reportedly excludes over 6.5 million voters from the state list, leader of opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, today demanded that the Supreme Court intervene and take suo motu cognisance of the issue.
While talking to newspersons here, he accused the Election Commission (EC) of losing its credibility. Yadav alleged that the Election Commission was no longer acting independently. It appears to be functioning under the influence of the country's top political leadership.
