Lucknow, Jan. 22 -- The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department is to play an active role in helping make the upcoming Mass Drug Administration (MDA) campaign a success in 64 blocks across 21 districts of the state.
With the aim of making the campaign a mass movement, Basic Education Officers (BSAs) and Block Education Officers (BEOs) pledged on Wednesday that they would raise awareness among students about filariasis (elephantiasis) during school prayer assemblies, so that children can spread this message to every household.
