Los Angeles, Oct. 31 -- Acclaimed storytellers Taylor Sheridon and Peter Berg are leading the mission to direct the video game franchise, titled Call of Duty, onto the silver screen.
The two industry heavyweights will co-write the script, while Berg, known for his adrenaline charged films "Lone Survivor" and "Deepwater Horizon", will also direct.
The announcement arrives soon after news that Sheridan, the creative architect behind Yellowstone and its hit spinoffs 1883 and 1923, will shift his overall deal to NBCUniversal in 2029. Until then, Paramount is ensuring the prolific writer-director remains at the centre of its creative arsenal. Sheridan, Berg and David Glasser of 101 Studios will serve as producers on the project.
