Bengaluru, Nov. 28 -- India's badminton contingent made a strong showing at the Syed Modi International 2025 as Tanvi Sharma, Unnati Hooda, and Kidambi Srikanth advanced to the semi-finals on Friday.

World No. 54 Tanvi Sharma continued her remarkable run in the women's singles by defeating Hong Kong's Lo Sin Yan 21-13, 21-19 in 38 minutes. She will next face fifth seed Hina Akechi of Japan.

Top seed Unnati Hooda also progressed, overcoming compatriot Rakshitha Ramraj 21-15, 13-21, 21-16 and will meet Turkiye's fourth seed Neslihan Arin in the semifinals.
