Abu Dhabi, March 17 -- The Royal Navy's UK Maritime Trade Office (UKMTO) said on Tuesday that a tanker damaged while at anchor near the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates was struck by falling debris following an interception of an aerial target.
Earlier in the day, the UKMTO said that an "unidentified projectile" had struck the vessel while it was anchored 23 nautical miles away from the UAE city of Fujairah, dealing minor structural damage.
