Chennai, Jan. 30 -- The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), under the aegis of the Tamil Perayam, organised a grand "Mupperum Vizha" today in which Tamil Foundaton to promote Tamil language was launched in the presence of former BJP President K Annamalai.
The event brought together the inauguration of the Dr T.R. Paarivendhar Tamil Foundation, the presentation of the World Record certificate achieved in connection with the 150th anniversary of the song Vande Mataram, and the observance of Parakram Diwas, commemorating the valour and sacrifice of national heroes.
The Tamil Foundation was inaugurated in the revered names of Thiruvalluvar, Ilango Adigal, Kambar, Ramalinga Adigalar (Vallalar),and Subramania Bharati.
