Pune, June 23 -- Pune District Collector Jitendra Dudi today called for necessary measures to be implemented in the district to reduce the number of accidents, as well as the creation of public awareness on accident spots (blackspots) in the district.
Speaking at the District Road Safety Committee meeting organised at the District Collector's Office, Dudi said that there are a total of 42 blackspots in Pune district, 15 within the limits of Pune Municipal Corporation, 22 under National Highways Authority of India, two under Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, one under Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation and two under Public Works Department.
