Swami Vivekananda statue installed at Income Tax officers' training campus

Kolkata, Jan. 23 -- With an aim to blend administrative excellence with spiritual consciousness, the Kolkata Regional Campus of The National Academy of Direct Taxes (NADT), under the union Ministry of Finance, installed a full-length statue of Swami Vivekananda at the Income Tax Bhawan (East) on Thursday.

A meditation hall within the campus was also inaugurated on the occasion. The installation has been described as a historic milestone, as this is the first time a statue of Swami Vivekananda has been set up at any NADT campus or institution of the Income Tax Department across the country.

Officials said the initiative reflects an effort to inspire officers with values rooted in ethics, service and inner discipline.
