New Delhi, Sept. 28 -- Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati, also known as Parth Sarthi, who is accused of sexually harassing more than two dozen female students, has been arrested from Agra.

He was taken into custody from a hotel in the Tajganj area where he had been hiding.

According to sources, he was detained last night and brought to Delhi in the early hours of this morning.

The Swami was evading arrest in connection with several cases. He is accused of molesting 32 girls from his South Delhi-based institute.

His anticipatory bail plea was recently rejected by the Patiala House Courts.

Police will now produce him before a duty magistrate to seek his custodial remand.
