Tirumala, Jan. 25 -- The Suryaprabha Vahana Seva was observed with spiritual splendour here on Sunday on the occasion of Surya Jayanti, attracting a massive influx of pilgrims from across the country.
The seva, part of the Saptha Vahana Sevas, commenced at 5.30 a.m. and concluded at 8 a.m., with Malayappa Swamy taken in procession on the Suryaprabha Vahanam.
All galleries along the four mada streets were jam-packed with devotees, many of whom occupied vantage points from Saturday evening to witness the divine procession.
It is believed that darshan of Malayappa Swamy on the Suryaprabha Vahanam bestows health and prosperity, as the Sun God is revered as the dispeller of diseases.
