Bengaluru, April 5 -- Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala on Sunday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Narendra Modi-led Centre, alleging an "anti-Kannadiga vendetta" that has cost Karnataka nearly Rs 2 lakh crore in denied funds and stalled development projects.
Addressing a press conference here, Surjewala claimed that there was "insurmountable anger" among ordinary Kannadigas against the BJP's conduct, accusing the party of systematically undermining the state's financial and developmental interests.
He alleged that the Government of India had denied Karnataka its rightful share in taxes, grants, and relief funds, pegging the total "loss" at Rs 1,97,257 crore.
