Bhubaneswar, May 8 -- Odisha Higher Education Minister Suryabanshi Suraj on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to lift the stay on appointments of Vice Chancellors and faculty members in universities across the state.
The interim stay was related to the Odisha University (Amendment) Act, 2020.
While hearing the case, the Supreme Court ruled to lift the order, thereby allowing appointments to proceed in accordance with the newly introduced Odisha University (Amendment) Act, 2024, official sources confirmed.
