Mumbai, Feb. 9 -- Sunny Deol frontlined "Lahore 1947" will be released in the theatres on August 13, Aamir Khan Productions announced on Monday.
Anchored in the cataclysmic events surrounding the Partition of India, "Lahore 1947" represents a rare and long-gestating collaboration, bringing together director Rajkumar Santoshi, producer Aamir Khan and Deol for the first time.
Aamir Khan said, "This was one of Dharamji's (late actor Dharmendra) favourite scripts and I would have been very happy if he could have seen the film."The film also boasts of a formidable ensemble cast including Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, and Karan Deol in lead roles.
