Chandigarh, Jan. 30 -- Bholath MLA and Chairman of the All India Kisan Congress, Sukhpal Singh Khaira, has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to announce a comprehensive financial relief package and a complete farm debt waiver for the farmers of Punjab.
In a letter sent ahead of the Prime Minister's upcoming visit to the state, Khaira described the situation as a "historic opportunity" for the centre to address the long-standing grievances of the agricultural community.
