Nagpur, April 12 -- A school student died after a gate collapsed on her in Tiroda town of Maharashtra's Gondia district, raising serious concerns over safety standards in educational institutions, officials said on Saturday.
According to sources, the incident occurred within the school premises when the student came in contact with the gate, which suddenly gave way and fell on her, causing severe injuries.
The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Nirali Manish Chafle.
