Mumbai, Feb. 6 -- A college student allegedly attempted suicide inside the women's restroom at Byculla railway station in Mumbai, police said on Friday.
She was found unconscious inside the washroom on Thursday and immediately shifted to a hospital.
According to preliminary information, the student had entered the ladies' restroom at the station apparently to freshen up. When she did not come out for a long time, women present there became suspicious. Despite repeated knocking on the cubicle door and calling out to her, there was no response from inside.
