Strict action on violating norms for loudspeakers at places of worship: Fadnavis
Mumbai, March 11 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday warned that strict action would be taken against those violating prescribed noise limits for loudspeakers at places of worship and the norms in this regard are not being implemented the way they should be.
He said that police officials should visit places of worship in their respective areas and ensure that guidelines for loudspeakers at places of worship were being followed.
"The guidelines for loudspeakers at places of worship, as per the Centre and court, have to be strictly followed. Anybody violating the norms will invite strong action," Fadnavis said in the state Legislative Assembly.
