Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 20 -- AICC General Secretary and Lok Sabha member KC Venugopal has written an open letter to the Kerala Chief Minister, urging the state government to stop using the Sabarimala Ayyappa Sangamam for political purposes.
Venugopal criticised the government for organising the event under the pretext of "faith protection", calling it a deliberate political manoeuvre while noting that the Chief Minister, who had previously led actions that violated traditional rituals at Sabarimala, now seeks credit under the guise of organising the Ayyappa Sangamam.
