Lucknow, Dec. 29 -- Police have recovered an Iranian-breed horse of the Duldul (Zuljanah) lineage that was stolen from Talkatora Karbala in Lucknow.

The horse was found in Mauranwan village of Unnao district, and one accused has been arrested in connection with the theft.

A reward of Rs 50,000 had earlier been announced for information leading to the recovery of the horse. Following the successful operation, the reward will now be given to the police team. The Duldul horse holds deep religious significance for the Shia Muslim community.
