Hyderabad, Dec. 29 -- A statutory enquiry has been ordered into the fire incident that occurred on Train No. 18189 Tatanagar-Ernakulam Express at Elamanchili railway station in the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada section during the early hours on Monday.
A South Central Railway (SCR) statement said, the fire incident took place at around 0050 hours at Elamanchili railway station under the Vijayawada Division. Madhavi, Commissioner of Railway Safety, South Central Circle, Secunderabad, will conduct the statutory enquiry.
The enquiry will be held on December 31, 2025 and January 1, 2026 at the Electric Traction Training Centre.
