Mumbai, Feb. 12 -- A statewide safety audit of public transport locations has been conducted by the Maharashtra Stree Mukti Parishad with a focus on women's safety.
The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Legislative Council Deputy Chairperson Dr. Neelam Gorhe. The audit was undertaken with the broader perspective that women's right to mobility is not limited to travel alone, but is intrinsically linked to their right to live with dignity and pursue development opportunities, a release stated on Wednesday.
