States to get time-limit of six months to come 'on board' with VB-G RAM G

Joymala BagchiNew Delhi, Jan. 16 -- States will get a time-limit of six months to come 'on board' as soon as Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission Gramin law (G RAM G) commences, sources in Ministry of Rural Development said.

"States will get six months' time to notify their own schemes, which is similar to Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) where the scheme was notified by each state government," ministry sources said.

Although G-RAM-G is an Act, the individual schemes will be notified by states to remain compliant with the Act.
