Nashik, April 25 -- Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis stated that the government has resolved to make the state drought-free through the implementation of the river-linking project.
He also said that concerted efforts would be undertaken to ensure a clean and uninterrupted flow for the Godavari River in preparation for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela.
He was speaking on the 'Godavari to Narmada' Water Journey-organized by the Water Resources Department of the Government of Maharashtra-which was inaugurated at the holy site of Trimbakeshwar on the occasion of the Tricentenary Birth Anniversary of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar.
