Patna, May 16 -- The Bihar government has decided to increase the Dearness Allowance of the state employees by 2percent, pay Rs 50 lakh honorarium to the Martyrs of operation Sindoor, and to rename Gaya town as Gayaji.
The Cabinet in its meeting held here under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday gave its Green Signal to 69 agenda enlisted for the meeting. The cabinet approved a two percent increase in the DA of the state employees. With this, the DA of the state employees would increase to 55 percent from 53 percent.
The cabinet also decided to pay an honorarium of Rs 50 lakh to the Martyrs of operation Sindoor.
In the meeting it was also decided to change the name of Gaya town to Gayaji.
