Chennai, Jan. 8 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated the 49th edition of Chennai Book Fair at the sprawlingYMCA Grounds Nandanam in the city on Thursday evening.
Organised by the Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI), the entry to the public was free.
On the occasion the Chief Minister also presented the Muthamizh Arignar Kalaignar M Karunanidhi Porkizhi Awards on behalfof BAPASI.
Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, Health Minister Ma Subramanian and School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhiwere present at the inauguration of the fair which would conclude on January 21.
