Kolkata, Dec. 9 -- St. Xavier's University, Kolkata, today announced that it would set up an integrated medical college with school of nursing in the city, a brain child of West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee, in the next three-four years, according to vice-chancellor Rev. Dr. John Felix Raj.

Announcing the date of holding the 7th convocation ceremony to be on February 21, 2026, Rev. Dr. Raj spelled out a slew of future plans, including that of introducing B.Tech. from the next academic session ( 2026), M.Tech course to be added in due course of time and embark on an array of courses, like Integrated MBA, Integrated B.Ed., School of Design, School of Nursing and setting up of an integrated medical college in the city.
