Chennai, March 19 -- The Chennai Division of Southern Railway has issued a strong appeal to the general public and commuters to refrain from activitieslike burning of garbages that may lead to fire hazards along railway tracks, particularly during the summer season.
In recent times, instances of burning dumped garbage and dry vegetation near railway lines have been observed, Southern Railway sources said today.
