Jaipur, Nov. 16 -- Senior IAS officer V Srinivas has been appointed as the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, according to an order issued by the state Personnel (Ka-1) Department on Sunday.

Srinivas succeeds Sudhansh Pant, who has been sent on deputation to New Delhi as Secretary in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

In addition to his role as Chief Secretary, Srinivas will hold additional charges as the Chairman of Rajasthan Mines and Mineral Corporation, Udaipur, and as the Chief Resident Commissioner of Rajasthan in New Delhi.

A 1989-batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer, Srinivas was serving in Delhi as Secretary in the Department for Administrative Reforms, Public Grievances, and Pensions and Pensioners Welfare. He was relieved...
