Srinagar, Feb. 2 -- A fast track court in Srinagar has convicted a man in a kidnapping and sexual assault case involving a minor girl, sentencing him to 14 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposing a fine of Rs 15,000.
J&K Police said they secured conviction in a 2021 FIR registered at a Srinagar police station, under sections 363, 376 IPC read with section 4 of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.
The case pertained to the kidnapping and sexual assault of a minor girl, aged 17 years, which was reported on April 11, 2021.
