Tirumala, Feb. 1 -- Sri Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti, one of the sacred torrents in the Tirumala Seshachalam forests, was celebrated in a grand manner here on Sunday.

It is a tradition to celebrate Sri Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti every year on the full moon day in the auspicious month Magha.

The temple priests and staff, chanting mantras, proceeded in a procession from the Srivari temple and reached Sri Ramakrishna Teertham at around 11 AM.

There, they performed special abhishekam to the idols of Sri Ramachandra Murthy and Sri Krishna Swamy with milk, curd, sandalwood paste, and other fragrant substances.
