Chennai, March 1 -- A 28-year-old Sri Lankan woman National was arrested for allegedly attempting to travel to her country using an Indian passport obtained with forged documents by concealing her original Lankan identity at the Chennai International airport here.
The woman, Nishandhini, was arrested by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Wing of the Chennai police on charges securing an Indian passport with forged documents by hiding her Sri Lankan citizenship.
Based on a complaint from the Foreigners Registration Officer at the Chennai International Airport, the CCB registered a case and launched a probe.
