Hyderabad, Dec. 12 -- Telangana State BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Firiday underlined the importance of sports in national life, saying it plays a crucial role in shaping youth and driving India towards the vision of a developed nation by 2047.
Speaking at the inauguration of the 41st National Senior Kyorgi Championship at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Rao said India's sporting performance has transformed significantly over the years. "Earlier, we struggled to win even a bronze medal. Today, our athletes are winning gold, silver, and bronze at the Olympics," he noted.
