Ghaziabad, Oct. 4 -- A speeding car ran over three women who were out for a morning walk in the Rakesh Marg area under the Sihani Gate police jurisdiction today.
The collision was so intense that the women were thrown several feet into the air. Two women died on the spot, while the third succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Another man sustained injuries in the incident.
The accident occurred reportedly due to the driver dozing off behind the wheel. Eyewitnesses estimate the car's speed to be around 100 km/h. The impact was so severe that the bonnet of the car was nearly torn off after it rammed into the road divider. The crash caused a massive traffic jam and drew a large crowd to the scene.
