Guwahati, Dec. 27 -- The Special Revision (SR) of electoral rolls in Assam has found 4,78,992 as deceased and their names identified for deletion after due process.
A statement issued by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer Assam on Saturday said that the SR also found that a total of 5,23,680 electors have moved from their registered locations.
The statement further stated that a total of 61,03,103 households across the state were visited as part of the Special Revision and that it achieved 100 per cent coverage.
The SR also found 53,619 demographically similar entries, which were identified for correction.
