Kaithal, Feb. 19 -- A Special Jail Lok Adalat was organised on Wednesday at the District Jail, Kaithal, by the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Kaithal. The programme was conducted under the guidance of the District and Sessions Judge and DLSA Chairperson Kanchan Mahi.
The Lok Adalat was presided over by Chief Judicial Magistrate and DLSA Secretary Kanwal Kumar.
During the session, six cases pending in various courts were taken up for hearing. Following detailed discussions between the parties, two cases were amicably settled on the spot.
Providing information about upcoming initiatives, Secretary Kanwal Kumar announced that a National Lok Adalat will be held at the Judicial Complex, Kaithal, on March 14.
