Patna, Feb. 13 -- A special court on Friday ordered the release of jailed Member of Parliament Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on bail in three separate cases, providing relief to the independent MP who was in judicial custody since last week.

The court of special judge Praveen Kumar Malviya -- formed for the trial of criminal cases involving MPs and MLAs -- granted bail after hearing separate applications filed on behalf of the MP by his counsels Vijay Anand and Ajay Kumar.

The court directed that Yadav be released on bail in all three cases on furnishing a personal bond of Rs 10,000 in each case along with two sureties of the same amount.
